How can I make over a tub/shower?

I have a 40 year old tub/shower that is dingy ( I think it’s fiberglass). Is there something I can do to make it bright/shiny and new looking again?

Fiberglass can be rubbed out and polished. Auto stores have the product you need except the energy required. Please show a before and after picture

You can definitely get a paint kit or hire someone to paint the fiberglass. It should cost in the $500 range to redo, tub and surround if you hire someone.
