Buy Opti gel ant killer instead. Sprays kill the visible ones and all you do is chase them. The gel is made to take back to the queen in the colony. Otherwise all you do is chase them to another spot. Get it on Amazon. Tube lasts for years. All you need is a few dots of the gel in the path of the ants.

Hi Marie, hope this helps you, Use a mix of 15 drops peppermint oil and seven drops lemon oil with water to spray food-preparation areas. Vinegar: This vinegar spray makes great natural ant repellent. Mix equal amounts of common white vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spray areas where ants enter the home.

We use Terro. It sort of looks like clear karo syrup. Should be able to pick it up at Walmart.

  • Hi Marie - Those little buggers are relentless, aren't they?!? This is the most effective method and all-natural spray DIY that we use with ants. It's best indoors, but will also work outside with more frequent applications. It's even been featured on Hometalk! Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
