How can I upcycle a cute fringed leather purse with a broken strap?

Sometimes thrift stores have purses for a few dollars.

Does the strap attach with D rings. If so, you can just sew the ends and attach with the D rings.

Why not take the purse to a shoe repair shop. They do repairs on many different items such as purses and luggage.

If this is a shoulder bag, you could replace the strap with one made of webbing. Or you could sew the broken on onto a new strap made of fabric in a coordinating color. If you just want to repurpose the purse you could put some floral foam onside and make an arrangement of flowers.

Also you can use guitar straps (mostly for bigger purses) . or as someone else said use straps from an old purse of yours or a Goodwill find, or the shoe repair shop, (they did one for me) or use chains (they come in different sized links) and attach with D rings and snap on key chain clasps
