Open the windows , but only on low humidity days . Wipe down all woodwork and clean with a fragrant oil like pine , orange or lemon oils . You can bring a small pot of water to boil put orange peel and cinnamon in it and let it simmer for awhile .

Set out open bowls of cider vinegar. Overnight that will help absorb the odor. Also if you have charcoal it will absorb odors as well. You want to get rid of the odor, not cover it up with others.

Clean all surfaces, including windows, clean any air filters. Once all residue is removed, airing out will help. An air purifier might help speed things along, and before that, an odor absorber like Odor Sponge.

Hi Vera, you will want to wipe clean everything in the kitchen with a strong vinegar water mixture, then use bowls of vinegar to help get rid of any lingering odors, Fill a pot with water and add the lemon slices. Allow the water and lemon slices to boil. Alternatively, fill the bottom of a pan with water, place cloves or cinnamon sticks in the pan and simmer to remove the burnt odor from the air and fill your home with a pleasant scent.

I would use a diffuser with essential oils--specifically Lemon or Purification from Young Living. Here is a link to it: https://www.youngliving.com/vo/#/signup/new-start?sponsorid=18004315&enrollerid=18004315&type=member
