Hi Lynne, I painted these at a Home Show where I was asked to teach classes. I started with a brown/black trunk down the middle and then added branches off to each side in different shades of green. Hope it gives you a bit of help.
Hi Lynne, you sure you want to paint them on? Decals are easily removed when you want to change the look. But if you want to paint them , you can just sketch them in like silhouettes and paint in black or colored like the decal. Try to keep it simple with only 1 or 2 colors max. Hope this helps you

Did you check out Amazon wall murals? Pretty inexpensive and are removable. Some gorgeous trees.
