I have to redo my grandsons room at my house. It was done twenty years ago and has border. Having unexpected visitors and my daughter is using my guest room at this time. Do not have time to remove the border and paint.

Hi Melanie, your company should not care about the border in the room, just let them know you are in the process of redecorating it, don't worry about it just enjoy your visit with them. But if you want it off the wall, use a steamer to remove it, then you just have to prep for the painting later on.

I would use a peel and stick wallpaper or wallpaper border to just cover the one that is there.

  • If it was put up with wall paper paste, you can try put a hot wet cloth on it and see if it come loose. Other than that I don't think you can do anything than strip it or paint it.

I agree with Betsy but if you are looking to distract from a border, you might buy the peel & stick border and put up temporarily. It's quick and easy to apply.
