What is the easiest way to redo this table & chairs
Ellyn: the easiest way is with chalk paint. It requires no special preparations!
I got some pretty marble-looks medium weight contact to redo my kitchen table top. You can use the same paper for the seats on the chairs, so they still match. I would suggest that if you’re going to paint, doing that first!! I got my contact paper at Walmart for less than $10! I hope this helps!
Paint the white parts a new color. My favourite durable low prep paint is fusion mineral paint. The colors are gorgeous!
Chalk paint! You could use a gel stain on the table top to darken it!
Seems like the easiest way is to paint the white parts something different. and then get pads for the chair seats in a nice pattern to complement the new color on the legs.
If you really want to go nuts check this out:
A paint sprayer will make quick work of those spindles! I would refinish the top of the table to a darker stain and paint the bottom and chairs a solid color.
Contact paper is tacky! horrible to take off!! Beachy distressed is super easy. sand the top to get shininess top off.white wash with whites and light greys do the same for seat tops. distress all the white to make is look old and worn. If of course if you like that look!
Highly recommend You Tuber--Jami Ray Vintage. She flips furniture, etc with chalk paint. DIY chalk paint is available thru her website. Excellent product, reasonably priced.
