How do you clean the jet system for a jacuzzi?

We live in an area that leaves a reddish tint on our tile. I can keep the tile clean but how do I flush the gunk out of a jacuzzi?

I run a bit of vinegar through mine every few months to remove built up gunk.

  I thought of using vinegar but figured I would have to use full strength and that is a lot of vinegar! But I will start with trying a gallon with the minimum amount of water required. Thanks

  That's what I do. I buy it at Sam's, so whatever size that is (maybe a gallon)? It is a lot of water.
  My ex used to somehow put the vinegar in a container at the intake and it "sucked" it in at 100%, no dillution.
