we have your standard square maybe 4 by 4 beige wall tiles .the towel rack and the toilet paper holder are also the ceramic type that are attached with whatever you attach ceramic bars to ceramic tile with . We are keeping the tile . How can we hide or remove the two ceramic fixtures without ruining the surrounding tiles?

You could try hanging artwork or a wall hanging over it if you don’t want to attempt removing the bars.

It isn't entirely clear what you are asking....

You do not like the ceramic fixtures, so you want to replace the present ceramic towel holders with another type?

Sometimes those things are anchored pretty deep, especially if the tile was set in a wet bed. If you have a Dremel tool you may be able to go around them in the grout lines. Once you have them separated from the field tiles you can start wiggling and pulling on them. I would leave the toilet paper holder because that will be a big hole to cover, it can be the backup roll if you go for a floor stand. If it turns out that your tile is just sitting on drywall via mastic and grout you may not have holes to fix.
