I have a 4 poster bed, how can I turn it into a canopy bed?
Unless the posts on your bed are high enough, just make a canopy that is attached to the ceiling.
Hi Lisa, here's a great tutorial that will show you how https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzYh-GTw2C0
You're most welcome
Hi Lisa, the DIY I've seen of canopy beds online generally included pvc pipe built into a triangle the size of the bed and then hung from the ceiling. At that point curtains were hung and swagged from the pipe. Its a pretty inexpensive and option that turns out really pretty. You could use the posts on your bed to tie the curtains off to.
Is you bed frame metal? If so you can drill a small hole on the inside, one on the long side and one on the short side, of each pole. then run a heavy fishing wire from once side to the other, then do an X by running thr line from top right to bottom left and top left top bottom right. As long as you aren't using super heavy fabric it will hold the weight without drooping.
Your other option would be getting pvc T elbows and pipes the same dimension as your frame. It'll be sturdier, but not as easy to hide as the wire
