How do I repair old webbing and springy seats?
I have a couple of old kitchen chairs with the old fashioned webbing and springs in the seat. I need to reupholster the whole thing and wondering if i have to replace the webbing and springs or can I do something else?
yes you could use something else but maybe you can replace just the webbing if the springs are all in good condition.
Hi Polly: You can use a dense foam. The foam from JoAnn's that's green is the best to use for a seat as it doesn't crush as easily as the other type. Good luck
That’s great know thankyou . I am guessing you would still use the webbing to support the foam .
You could, or you could buy new webbing. But, if the old stuff is still good, use that. A penny saved is ....... well, just a penny :)
