Can you put contact paper on textured walls for a backsplash?

    It really doesn't work on textured surfaces. Try looking at the metal sheet backslashes if you don't want to do tile. I've seen them at home depot.

    Contact paper is paper thin and not scrub able.

    Consider buying peel n stick vinyl flooring (90¢ a square foot and up) and cutting them into ceramic tile pieces or brick sized pieces.

    This gives you color options and a scrub able easy finish.

    First, Knock down the texture with a paint scraper & sand paper block. Paint with a latex enamel. Then apply to tiles. Burnish when in place.


    Also can buy a 4’x8’ sheet of faux tile shower board for $22 and cut it into slices and adhere with construction adhesive, then caulk the bottom. 32 square feet for $22.
