How do I glue bamboo wallpaper?

What is the correct way to glue bamboo wallpaper so that the glue doesn't show through? Recently, plain bamboo wallpaper was affixed to an 8 x 10 section of wall, necessitating two wide strips of bamboo wallpaper...side by side. After this was accomplished, the result showed where the glue was under the edge of the middle seam. It looks awful!! How do I fix this?

Did you use the glue that was recommended on the wallpaper package label?

Did you overlap the seam, or butte the edges of the pieces against each other?

    Hello Syl,

Is the wallpaper washable ? What did you use in the way of glue?

You could remove it all and redo it using less - Glue?

You say Bamboo wallpaper - are you saying it is made from bamboo or that the pattern is bamboo?

Normally wallpaper is hung using Wallpaper paste either regular or extra strong, not glue!

If all else fails you could use a trim or wallpaper border to cover the bad joint.........

    Best wishes.......

I would check the manufacturer's directions for their glue recommendations, but I've always used wall paper paste. On the seams you use a small smooth roller to make sure they are pasted down tight.
