I wrote a post on how I cleaned out my closet and organized it that might help you - https://chascrazycreations.com/closet-organization-and-hacks/
Step 1- go through and giveaway what you don't need and don't wear.
Step 2- install closet shelving/drawers that help you organize what you do have
Pamela: here's the way to do it!!
Hi Pamela - This is one of my favorite articles on cleaning, organizing and decluttering. It really breaks down the steps of the process, and even includes an interview with TV show Hoarders star Matt Paxton. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
PS - We have a FREE eBook with recipes for all of my homemade and all-natural cleaners. You can download it here --> https://pinkfortitude.com/thank#GreenClean
Try "Tidying" on Netflix really great show for this. I pretty much do her process anyway except thanking my items for their time with me, 😋 But that's cute. I like the concept of that, gratitude in everything is always better.
I have a post about my process for decluttering my tiny linen closet. The concept can be applied to other closets. Perhaps the process can work for your closet too? Good luck! https://everydayoldhouse.com/organize-tiny-linen-closet/
Hi Pamela: Make 3 piles. One to keep, one to keep maybe, and one to donate. Then, go through the one to keep maybe and put what you want to keep into the one to keep pile and the other stuff into the donate pile. Don't go through that donate pile, once it's gone, it's gone:) Then, get a couple of S hooks and a couple lengths of chain. Put one of the ends of the S hook on the hanging rod and one end of the chain on the bottom of the S hook. Then, put your clothes on a hanger and put one hanger in every 2nd or 3rd link of the chain. This way, you're hanging things vertically and have more room.
