I want to use faux brick panels for my kitchen backsplash. How can I protect the panels from grease and other stains?

I have the faux bricks in our kitchen, behind the stove and have a sheet of clear plastic covering them. Not the prettiest, but practical. The space between the back of the stove is far enough so there is no chance of fire.Also, I found a backslash at the dollar store just for this purpose, it has a picture of a chef.

Hello Barbara,
Try a Polyurethane varnish to seal the bricks in a matt finish............

seal with two coats of polyurethane brushed on.

Add a few coats of oil based polyurethane.
