Cut into desire shape, sew, (or use stitch witchery if you do not sew), leaving an opening to stuff with either a pre purchased pillow form or stuff with fiberfill. Use a zipper or glue on Velcro to close the opening.
We made them by sewing (or you can use double sided fabric tape) to cut off the neck and sleeves. Leave the sleeves on. Then stuff the inside of the shirt and close off the bottom. The stuffing we used were for quilt batting.
My aunt made these out of my dad shirts after he passed and gave one to each family member. She cut off the arms and where they button down that was the middle of the pillow and sewed up the back. A very nice memento.
ive seen this done with the persons shirt pocket on the pillow too.
