I don't think that wall paint would work very well. It's not made for painting refrigerators. It would never adhere well and would come off quickly. You want to use a special appliance paint or an appliance epoxy paint.

You can use the textured spray paint. You just have to mask off a large area due to the overspray. You can use dollar store shower curtains for that or take the door off , take it outside, spray and reattach. There are some very pretty colors in the texture paint and the new high coverage ones are great.

30 years ago I had an avocado green fridge in a rental. I asked the Landlord if I could paint it. I lightly cleaned, sanded, primed with a roller and then rolled with exterior paint (2 coats). Allow to dry overnight between each coat. I used a wall roller to give a slight texture so any lines from rolling wouldn't show. Worked out beautifully! Yes, you can!

I wouldn't recommend wall paint. There is a spray appliance paint that would work great. Clean all kitchen grease. Scuff with fine steel wool. Wipe down with denatured alcohol. Spray paint.
