Hi there, rugs are always an option but they do sell plastic/rubber strips that glue down over cords so they're not a tripping hazard.
You can purchase covers specifically made to hide wires. Make sure you will get something that prevents damage to the cords if walked on, especially if putting under a rug.
I would recommend running around baseboards and affixing. Then you can cover and paint to match baseboards.
To prevent a tripping hazard, try running them along your baseboards as best you can. There are covers available for purchase and you can hide them with rugs.
Here's great tips on hiding wires.
