I use shelf dividers to stand my purses upright on my closet shelves.

I also use a hanging strap that hooks on the top and bottom of my closet door for more purse storage.

The Marie Kondo way is to store the smaller wallets and handbags inside the larger ones like a Russian Doll. Saves a ton of space.
