Hello everyone

Heard the saying

Find a penny, pick it up, pass it on and

All day long,

you'll have good luck.

Friend's, family, have given me pennys and I'd put them in a pot.

The penny pot grew.

So i ended up with lots of lucky pennys.

The frame below

Had been recycled before.

The glass gems had broke.

Still the frame was in good condition

I grabbed some 2ps out the copper jar this would be my lucky penny tree.

So heres my money tree now.

Below my frame

Here's what it looked before.

A bit worn out

And very tierd looking.

I Bought this years ago..

It had been in my stash box

I needed to crack the gems out. I used a butter knife.

It worked well.

*Be carefull if you do this.

They shatter!.

*once they all have been removed clean away the old glue.

*Time to freshen the frame with some paint.

*making sure your frame is clean, give it a little rub over with fine sand paper.

I used a fast drying brass colour paint for metel.

I gave 2 coats of brass paint

I was just going to paint the flowers.

But i painted it all.

Now time to use the glue gun an stick these pennys down

The 2ps and lucky Penny's fitted just nice

I noticed some were older then others..

1971.1978. 1981 an so on ..

The older pennys i put to the top off the tree.

Doing this part was fun.

Some Penny's were found some were passed to me by friends for good luck.

I did do a project on cleaning these coins.

I love how clean they turned out. Theg look like rose gold

And this is my lucky penny tree looking lovely.

The penny's will age more.

An one day might not in circulation any longer?

But i will still have my lucky penny tree.

Pleased i upcycled this frame once again :)

Love how it shines also.
