How can I remove wrinkles from a canvas?
I bought a paint by number painting kit. it arrived very wrinkled with no way to mount the canvas, stretch the wrinkles out and paint on it.
Iron it! Here are some easy to follow instructions.

Here are some good tips: https://www.canvastly.com/pages/tips-and-tricks
From the site: "Just like clothing, canvases are made from cotton, linen or polyester and can be ironed. You need to be careful not to set the iron on a high heat though – keep it on a mid-range heat setting. You should lay your canvas face down onto a thick towel and mist the back of the canvas lightly with water from a fine spray bottle. You just need to dampen the fabric rather than soak it. Gently iron over the surface, keeping the iron moving, and your canvas will be wrinkle-free within seconds."
And a tip for mounting it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Wp68lBKUx8
normally when one says "stretch a painting canvas" it means over a wooden frame meant to hold the canvas. What came in your kit? Are there wood pieces?
No, just the wrinkled canvas with the printed picture on one side with the numbers that correspond with the little bottles of paint. Four brushes and a picture of what the finished picture should look like. That's it. No instructions, no wood and the brushes are very cheap. I'm no artist but I can tell I need better brushes and some help with getting the canvas ready to paint.
Hi KC: You can put the fabric face down and then place a moist cloth, like a cloth napkin, on the back and iron it on a warm setting. If you need to stretch it, you can use straight pins to stretch it and stick them into your fabric on ironing board:) Spritz lightly, stretch to shape and let dry. Good luck
