What strong window materials can I use other than plexiglass?

I have built a frame for shop windows on the North side. I need to know what material I can attach besides plexiglass. I would still like to see out the windows. However, plexiglass is difficult to screw through and breaks and yellows over time. Please help.

You can buy window kits for winter that are clear plastic and attach easily with the instructions included. They can come down in the spring. They really help cut the cold with the air space between the clear plastic and window frame/ window.
when you say north side. . . what is this the north side of? A house, a shop, what kind of building?

Plexiglass and Acrylic sheets need to be predrilled or they will crack. You can go with acrylic sheets on the outside and plastic window kits on the inside. The air space in between will create a thermal break. Like a double pane glass window. Or if budget allows acrylic sheet on both sides. A bead of clear caulk before screwing will create a good seal.
