  • Light color pallet, minimal furnishings, good lighting and lots of mirrors. Hopefully the house has lots of windows to provide ample natural light during the day.

Paint them a light shade of your favorite color, a verticle stripe or two will make the ceiling appear higher or you could add striped curtains. Keep your furniture in the same monochromatic color of the walls to make the room appear larger and furniture in a smaller scale will also achieve a more spacious room. I also painted my ceiling a bright white with a satin finish to reflect light from the windows.

Keep your walls and ceilings the same color--preferably in a light shade of paint that reflects light.

I would paint everything white. Makes everything feel open and bright

I would paint all the rooms a bright/light color such as white or light gray. It will make the house feel more open
