This felt Christmas tree is a fun holiday craft that toddlers and little kids will love to play with. Make this no-sew tree out of felt pieces and attach it to your wall. Little ones will stay busy placing the soft ornaments onto the tree and arranging the different shapes by color and pattern. Make this felt Christmas tree in just an hour and give your kiddos a safe tree to decorate that won’t damage the wall.

I’ve been wanting to make a felt Christmas tree for a few years now. I saw one on Pinterest a long time ago and thought my daughter, Chloe would really enjoy playing with it

Now that she’s six years old I finally got around to crafting one for her. In fact, she actually demanded that she help me make it. If you child is old enough to operate sharp scissors then they can help you make this felt Christmas tree and play with it after it’s done.

Supplies for felt Christmas tree and ornaments:

1/2 yard of green felt

Assorted felt colors

Scissors

Chalk

Glue Gun

Command Strips

Glue Dots

Fold the green felt and draw half of a tree on it in chalk. Cut it out with your scissors and pull it open. To attach it to the wall use a hot glue gun to attach Command Strips. Add a few glue dots to help stick the branches that flop down.

To make the ornaments simply cut shapes out of other pieces of felt. Felt fabric naturally sticks to itself so all you have to do is simply press the felt ornaments onto the green tree. You can layer the ornaments and add small pieces to embellish the ornaments.
