Ok so honesty time. I neglect some jobs in my house. Shower screens is probably the biggest culrpit :-/ here i have a recipe for a cream cleaner which is chemical free and does an AMAZING job! (See the before and after pics within the post if you don't believe me!)

Here we have your required supplies. Bicarbonate of soda and castille liquid soap are the 2 biggies, some tea tree essential oil for a lovely fresh smell. Measuring cups and spoons, and a jar to put it in when its done!

First you need 1 cup of bicarbonate of soda. I managed to spill some on my worktops while taking this photo. Try not to do that hahaha. Of course it doesn't really matter if you do as bicarbonate of soda is totally environmentally friendly and non toxic :-)

Once your bicarbonate of soda is in your jar (or whatever container you're planning to keep your cream cleaner in), you'll need to add 2tbsp of liquid castille soap.

Next, add 10 drops of tea tree essential oil and give it all a good stir until it's all combined and has formed a paste.

Now I did warn you that shower screens are not my favourite thing to clean. This one in particular gets neglected as it's in our loft so only my husband and I ever see it. I know, it's bad. Anyway, this is what it looked like before....

To use your new cream cleaner, simply dip a cloth into the jar and scoop some up onto the cloth. The only downside i found to this cleaner is that it can fall off the cloth quite easily but this can be minimised/stopped by simply positioning your hand in a way that keeps the product on the cloth as you're cleaning.

Ta da!!! How amazing is this difference?! I have tried many products before trying to achieve this kind of result! Who would've thought the one to achieve it would be so easy to make, cheap AND eco friendly. What a winner! Also, my husband and I both agree that since it's been done, the product seems to have left a protective shine on the glass which seems to repel the water (y'know like when a car has been waxed- a bit like that).

I hope you like this project and have as much success with it as i have! For more ideas and eco tips visit @plastic_what_you_preach on instagram :-) x
