I have a small yard. I've edged the back fence area and put mulch in it. Then I placed three foot tall shepherds hooks with hanging baskets. Added a taller hook near my front door. None of this takes much square footage but it really makes the tiny yard pop.

Ronolfo, we have a postage stamp sized yard. We combined planters from logs, colored mini fences, and flowers. You can also paint tall wooden fence if you have one, with flowers using simple things like old bicycle tires for the blooms and flat stems/leaves under them. Here are a couple ideas:
I would use smaller scale items and use a “forced perspective” that is explained in Japanese Garden landscaping books.
