How can I inexpensively cover old torn up linoleum flooring in my laundry room. Hoping to not have to remove it. The room is quite large, 25’x15’, with half of it being a workshop area.looking forward to reading ideas.thank you,

You could find sheet vinyl that is 16' wide but that is difficult to find. Peel and stick will probably be the most economical solution but I would recommend scraping torn spaces and use flooring adhesive so that it won't come up easily.

I would shop a local building supply salvage yard. You can find all types of building materials for pennies on the dollar. What if you could get nice ceramic tile for $1/sf? Better than something janky, right?
You could do a floating vinyl plank floor. So many options out there with so many prices! There is an affordable one for you!

How well adhered is the linoleum? It's really not the best idea to put flooring over existing flooring. If the existing fails, it takes whatever you put over it with it, doubling your cost in having to redo the entire floor.
