Yes there are deglossing products out there to help you prepare to paint but nothing is better than just sanding. Also wash down cabinets with TSP before painting.
Rustoleums deglasserà works great! I have used it in their cabinet refinishing kits. Highly recommend it! :)
You can use a deglosser to get into details, but nothing is better than scuff sanding with 220 grit sandpaper.
