How do I do chinking between pallet wood slats?

Good morning to all. have a metal storage shed in my back yard and in keeping with the natural look, I took old pallet wood and covered it. There are gaps in the wood slats and I was wondering what can be used to make it look like chinking between the slats. We have some amish in the area that build log homes and they have white between thew logs. Thank you in advance, Mark

Not sure it would hold in place with the thinner wood and against the metal.
