Upcycled Ribbon Spool Christmas Trees

Christmas trees come in all shapes, sizes and colors, but these upcycled ribbon spool Christmas trees might be the cutest ones of all.

I love wood ribbon spools of all sizes, but the {aff} large wood spools that a lot of ribbon is wrapped around might be my favorite. I bought a bunch of these spools of ribbon on clearance a few years ago at Target after Christmas. As the ribbon would run out, I didn’t have the heart to throw out the wood spool. I knew I could do something with them. Finally, this year, I put some of them to good use.

Here is a video showing you how easy these trees are to make.

You will need wood ribbon spools, yarn, {aff} foam cone, hot glue to make these trees. I used some other supplies to create my trees, but this is the mail list of items you need to create them. You can see what I used in my blog post.

I just think of all the possibilities for these trees. Yarn comes in so many colors and textures. I would like to make a little forest of these trees so I need to pick up some different white or cream-colored yarn to keep the theme going.
