Can I sew quilted Christmas ornaments?

I want to make the quilted Christmas ornaments like the tutorial I have attached but they are made with putting straight pins in a Styrofoam ball to hold it together. Is there a way that I can make it but with sewing the fabric on to the Styrofoam ball?Tutorial: https://www.benandme.com/homemade-quilted-christmas-ornaments-5/

Hi Cassandra, wouldn't that ruin the styrofoam after running the needle back and forth?

I don't, sorry. I would think it would ruin the Styrofoam. What about using those wool dryer balls instead of Styrofoam? That might work?

I think that would be pretty hard to do Cassandra! The fabric Christmas ornaments you are talking about are very pretty and do look like they have been quilted. Or if you really want to quilt some ornaments consider these!
