Kathy, Faux suede is usually microfiber which holds up to a good scrubbing with just dish soap and water. I would scrub the area in an area bigger than the water mark with a white Terrycloth and pat dry.

I have a microfiber recliner that was given to me. At first I used to clean it with my carpet upholstry tool and cleaner but I never got the results I wanted. Then I read on here to use isoprophyl alcohol and baby brush dipped into a saucer of the alcohol..... looks brand new and gets all those nasty oily, greasy areas clean too.
