Adding one fourth cup of vinegar to your fabric softener dispenser in your dryer should help.

As Lauren stated vinegar in the rinse cycle. If you want to scent your clothing, without all that wax that fabric softener has, use 4 or more wool balls and your favorite essential oil. The wool balls are available in most big box stores now, they have become very popular.

I just fill the fabric softener dispenser with vinegar. Works great!
