How to Make No-Sew Pillows From Hand Towels

6 Materials
2 Hours

If you're looking for an easy way to change up your seasonal decor, then this idea for turning inexpensive hand towels into little pillows is just for you.

This project is no-sew and all your supplies are easy and inexpensive to find.

Here are the supplies you'll need.

  • St. Patrick’s Day hand towels
  • Heat N Bond Ultrahold
  • Polyfil Stuffing
  • Rotary cutter
  • Clear acrylic quilt ruler
  • Iron

You can find links to all these supplies on my original blog post for this project at Just a Little Creativity

First, use your rotary cutter against the clear quilt ruler to cut your towels into squares.

You don't have to use a quilt ruler, a yard. stick would probably work fine, but these make it pretty easy to do.

Next, lay them down evenly on top of each other with the right sides facing each other.

Cut a strip of the Heat N Bond to size and place it along one side at a time in between the two pieces and iron it to fuse the fabric together.

Follow the packaging instructions for the Heat N Bond for each individual project.

Repeat for all four sides, but make sure to leave an opening on the last side to stuff your pillow.

Turn the pillow inside out, and stuff your pillow with the Fiberfil.

Close the hole with more Heat N Bond and you're all finished.

Keep in mind, that your towels can be seasonal or decorative.

They probably won't be the size of full sized throw pillows, they'll be smaller versions because of the size fabric you'll be making them out of.
