Love my big house, but don't have a ton to spend. The pros are outrageous. Send me the perfect plan! : ) I will give you all the credit!

I think I like all white unless someone has a better idea!

I love your house. Decorations depend on where you live. . . snow, no snow etc. I will assume it gets cold. First of all either a very big wreath on the upper level between windows. . . or if possible a big ribbon tied all around that level if it is possible to hang one. white lights on the front of the first porch pillars. On left a big X top to bottom, on middle one a big M top to bottom, on the third a big, S top to bottom. Big pots of greens on the pillars with white lights on them, white roping around the door with white lights on it. Keep it simple as your house is so classic. You could also do all white lights on the bushes. Good luck!

Thank you! I have always wanted to put a wreath up top between the windows but cord, etc.... Most likely I will do this by myself! : ) Should I do icicle lights or swag kind? Just plain lights? I have old sets here and there but I think I need to bite the bullet and get bigger outdoor ones. My mom said to put a white tree decorated in red on the porch... ??

Hi you could hang lighted Icicles around the roof lines and may be a large Red Bow on the house or hang lighted floral balls at corners of each roof line and a lighted floral arch around your door. Best wishes.

Nice house !!! I would put a large wreath or large light up snowflake between the Windows on the upper level . You can get battery operated window candles for all the front windows . You can put outdoor lanterns with battery operated candles on each of your steps . Or on either side of your front door . Pick up some long twigs or small branches , spray with adhesive and sprinkle white / snow glitter on them , or less messy use glitter glue sticks and run it along the branches . Then use red or green ribbon to tie the branches to the porch posts . Or just the ribbon bows to the posts .

Hi ...if you have stuff to use already for this year that’s great. But I would shop after Christmas because that’s when you get the best deals. I refuse to ever pay full price. I just moved from an older home similar to yours. It looks best when you keep the decorations simple and traditional like the house. I would put a small white lighted tree on each side of the door. Since this area is protected it will preserve the trees. Then, like the others said I would put a huge wreath with white lights between the two window. I would coordinate some wire ribbon on all three items. They sell “hooks “ that slide under the siding so no nails or holes are involved. This will look very classic but will also be easy to take down at end of season. You can even use battery operated lights if you don’t have access to electrical . Good luck!!

Thank you. This is so fun! I found this huge roll of wired red and gold ribbon I got a yard sale last year and I went nuts with with it. I will post a photo when I get done. Thank you for all your comments. I love it. !!!!!!
