    if you put a red brick or a half a brick in the tank above the bowl it will displace water and you use less water when flushing, thus saving a bit on the utilities bill

    Usually nothing should go behind a toilet - not much space there. You can find shelving and storage units that straddle the toilet and fit above the tank. What else were you thinking about?

    Do you want to know how to clean behind the toilet. A shelf behind the toilet for storage? Putting a brick to displace water behind the seat in the tank? Need more info.

    Maybe slit a garbage bag and tape it on the wall. Then change it when needed...
