Hi Judy,
Buy Gunk cleaner or use hot water Strong Dish soap and a non scratch sponge/dish cleaner. Give them a good wash down and scrub and then wash don with clean water and dry off.
Try vinegar, Judy.
I've had luck with TSP!

Make a baking soda and hydrogen peroxide paste. Scrub with a child's toothbrush. Wipe clean with a damp microfiber cloth.
Hi ! I used Kris Kutter de greaser . It worked GREAT !!!
Water and ivory soap. Put these in a Spray Bottle. And wipe with a soft rag your cabinets after you spray them.
I agree with all of the comments here that recommend light detergents and water. I would add to use a microfiber rag and hot water to help the detergent to work faster. It also depends on the type of finish on the cabinets. I would not recommend vinegar since it is acidic and could affect the finish. There are areas that I do recommend vinegar to clean, however on stone and wood it is not a good idea.
