if it’s the other side, you can get a little more aggressive.
if you take a plunger to one side, another person will have to keep a plug on the other side. most of the time it’s grease and food slime making a biofilm colony.
if you use a Drano type product, the enzymes cannot live in that environment and they cannot live to eat the slime. they are actually live entities.

Try using Sink and Plughole unblocker. If it could be caused by Fat build up - maybe use strong Dish liquid and hot water left overnight and topped up in the morning. If still blocked you may need to remove the drain cover and investigate.
