How can one get rid of woodpeckers pecking at one's house siding?
My friend has had a lot of damage to one side of her house from woodpeckers. She is having someone come out to fix the damaged areas, but I think she needs to know how to deter them before that happens. Any hints?
Hi Julie. You can use visual deterrents like hang aluminum pie plates or colorful rope in the area by the woodpeckers. You can also try using fake birds, like a hawk, owl, or rooster.
thanks, Cindy

Knowing why they are pecking will help find a solution. I found this article interesting and learned a couple of things myself. Short read, worth a look.
