How to cover bad walls cheap
You could use temporary wall paper or fabric.
Depending on what is wrong with the walls, they could easily be retextured with joint compound and a trowel, then painted. I hope this helps!
How are they bad? What's the problem?
You can cover with wall paper or you can retexture with spackling. Dip a 4" blade into spackling getting about a half inch or more of spackling on blade and crosshatch on wall smearing about 10" go in all directions until the wall is covered. When painted it has the old Tuscan feel to it with lots of beautiful texture.
Hi Virginia, hang inexpensive tapestries on them here's a link
You can just pin them on
Depending on the condition of the walls and what they are covered with, wallpaper or fabric may not stay adhered to the surface.
It's a older home, the dry wall seems were done poorly. You can see very thick plaster over them. Do I I need to replace the drywall ( probably couldn't afford)? I was thinking more like beadboard, shiplap or vinal tin look product. What do you think?
