Hello, Personally I have a expensive double wall unit with self clean oven option but I prefer to use the traditional spray on cleaners overnight and wipe the mess away he next morning. I do the same with the racks are use the spray on cleaner in a plastic trash bag.
Potentially these Hometalk link How to Clean Your Oven Door could be very informative.
Additionally -I clean my interior facing glass greasy build up very similar to how I clean my glass cooktop surface. I use the safety razor-to scrape way the heavy spattered grease and then use cream glass polish.
Oven rack cleaning
I just research this myself, most manufacturers firmly state not leave racks in self cleaning oven During the cleaning cycle.
They need to be cleaned independently. It seems to be the best solution is to soak overnight in ammonia and these links below describe the process. Im consider using plastic bin that is sized for my racks rather than a plastic bag.
Other options do suggest using oven cleaner in a trash bag here as well as another solution.
