How to scrub grime and mildew from tub and make it shine?
Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 solution of Dawn dish soap and vinegar. Spray it on the tub and let it work. If they are tougher stains, you may have to scrub with a plastic scrubbie or give it a second round of spray.
Make a paste of 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water. Apply the paste to any hard-to-remove traces of mildew or mold. Spray with vinegar, and scrub with a damp microfiber cloth, scouring pad or stiff-bristle toothbrush, depending on the severity of the mold or mildew
Thanks so much!
I keep a dish scrubber in a tall cup on the side of the bathtub. The scrubber holds a mixture of dish soap and vinegar. After anyone uses the bathtub I scrub the soap scum off with the dish scrubber and rinse. I never have rings with this method. For deep clean scrubbing I will use soap scrub. Keep one of these next to the bathtub:
Really I just eye it up. In those scrubbers you don't want it too runny because it will drain out. Probably more dish soap than vinegar. This is what I do to just to keep rings and soap scum at bay on a regular. You could do just dish soap and it would probably work but I add a little vinegar to keep mold and bacteria from growing. Deep cleaning I use stronger stuff. Hope this makes sense.
$1 Lyme Away works, but you must use the exhaust fan and wear gloves.
I like Krud Kutter and a Magic Eraser. You can also do Dawn soap nd vinegar with a magic eraser
First, kill the spores with vinegar. Then you can scrub with a rough sponge and baking soda/peroxide paste.
Hi Brenda - This is the shower cleaner that we use to help keep grout and tiles clean and minimize the mildew - it works on kitchen grout too. I've also included a great article about mold if it's gone that far. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

Thanks so much Holly. It’s really not that bad there’s no mildew or mold but I want to make sure that it doesn’t form by keeping it sparkling clean and not have to use chemicals.
