How can I paint an indoor/outdoor carpet?
It is like an indoor outdoor carpet, very smooth surface.

I'm sure it can be done and you can search this site or check out You Tube. I have never tried or wanted to paint a carpet.
Keep in mind that although this can be done, painting a carpet will change the texture to a stiffer one, and will greatly reduce its ability to absorb moisture (from bottoms of shoes or feet).
I've stenciled an outdoor rug. I used outdoor paint so that it would last in the sun. For inside, you might want to use fabric paint or at least fabric medium mixed with paint so that the texture is soft. Paint dries to a hard, crunchy texture.
