How do I make a homemade rainchain?

Just wondering has anyone out there made a rainchain? It's ok if attached to gutter downspout or not. I don't havegutters, so it would attach to eave near shingles,I've had one before, but finally gave way to rust (it was an inexpensive one and short). The long, 8 1/2 feet more sturdy ones are soooexpensive. Just seems to with a few ideas from the Hometalk family, I ought to be able to make one.

Thank you Holly, so much for the link on making your on rain chain, my husband is very ill with a nonresponsive blood disease, so income is limited.

Can't afford gutters or a long expensive rain chain, and knew there had to be a way to make one fairly inexpensive. Why I couldn't think of a single way to make one, is beyond me. I wish you and yours a safe and Happy Holiday season...thanks again, Michelle

Oh my goodness!!!, I've been blessed by the rainchain fairy, lol

I am in shock and awe that you and others actually gave me links to multiple ideas, not why I didn't think of some of them myself,duh....I have probably 20 to 30 coffee mugs that my mother collected over the years. She left us 10 years ago, seems like only yesterday, still miss her like breath...….so with

glass drill bit and a few other accessories, I'm going to make one from her mugs. Thank all ya'll so much and I hope each and everyone of you have a blessed Holiday Season,

    thanks again, Michelle
