Wax melts are a lovely way to add fragrance to your home. There are so many fragrances, but nothing is nicer than the associated smells around Christmas.
The Easiest Way to Change Your Wax Melt
If, like me, you are fully embracing all of the gorgeous Christmas scents that are available in the form of wax melts, then you will appreciate how messy a job changing the melt can be.
Let me share with you the easiest way to change the melt!
Let the wax cool so that it is solid in the burning dish.
Light up the burner and allow the bottom of the wax melt to liquify. It will only take a minute or two. Don't allow the entire wax to melt.
Using a cotton pad to absorb any hot melted wax, slide the wax melt to loosen if from the melting dish. A slight nudge around the sides should do it.
The solidified wax should easily slide around the melting dish. If it isn't moving, give it a little more time.
Using the cotton pad, remove the wax melt from the melting tray in one solidified piece of wax.
Remove any remaining wax with the cotton pad. The cotton pad should absorb any remaining liquified wax readily.
The melting dish is now clean and ready for whatever next fragrance you are burning.
Always take care that the melted wax doesn't touch your skin as it will be hot. Allow the melt too cool before disposing of it in a bin. Don't tip it down a drain. Don't allow children to use the wax melt burner.
