If the plastic won’t peel off the burner, try heating it with a lighter until it’ softens then gently scrape it with a razor blade, if possible. I hope this helps!

Go to the auto store and get a plastic scraper and scrap the plastic off a little at a time.
You may be able to use a razor blade to scrape some of it off. Only scrape away from yourself.
Turn the burner on low and the plastic will soften, then remove a little at a time using a metal or wooden scraper. It may take some time but it is possible to remove .
Try putting several layers of paper towels on the melted item and press down with a hot iron to see if it loosens the item enough to scrape it off. TURN OFF THE GAS TO BE SAFE.
I would try heating it up again and carefully scraping it off while it is hot.
