Anne...Bleach and water
Hi Anne,
Hopefully you have not washed and dryer dried this shirt, the dryer sets the stain. But give this a go.
To dissolve the ink you need something alcohol based. Take the shirt and lay it flat, put several layers of paper towels under the area where the ink is. Apply rubbing alcohol or hairspray (because it contains alcohol) over it by blotting with cotton balls or something similar, the ink will dissolve through the fabric and into the paper towels. If the paper towel areas appears saturated with the ink fold over the paper towel and use another spot of them, do this so the ink in the paper towel does not touch another area of the shirt. Keep applying (be patient) until the stain is gone. When all clear, launder the shirt as usual.
Best to you.
Here are several methods depending upon what type of ink.

Personally I stay away from any bleach products as it can "yellow" or "gray" the fabric over time and it weakens the fibers. Alcohol or hydrogen peroxide are great choices. Blot, do not scrub. Good luck.
Hairspray works well--it has alcohol in it. Redcatcc has it right! Just remember--BLOT--don't rub!
Place a paper towel under the stain and sponge it with rubbing alcohol. Use an eyedropper to apply alcohol directly onto the stain or, for a larger spot, pour the alcohol into a small dish, immerse the stained area and soak for 15 minutes. The ink should begin to dissolve almost immediately.
Goo- gone was working for me
Try spraying with hair spray then launder as usual.
Alcohol will work. That's why so many use hairspray, the alcohol in it gets out the ink.

Hairspray or rubbing alcohol.
Hairspray
isopropyl alcohol or hairspray!
Try the isopropanol alcohol first, the hairspray formulations have changed over the years to be less toxic.
