How do I restore shine to a small dull spot on a marble table?
Have a marble top on a small foyer table. There is a round dull spot that oily furniture polish won't help. Any ideas beside having the top repolished? Thanks.

Hi Marion, here's a handy guide that will show you how to restore that shine - https://homeguides.sfgate.com/make-marble-top-shiny-90984.html
They sell marble polish at most hardware stores that should be able to do the trick.

Marion....I made a paste of baking soda and water...put it on the dull spot...covered it with saran wrap sealing if well with tape. I left it 24 hours and wiped it off with a damp rag. It removed the stain and cleaned the marble really well!
it all depends what cause that stain. There are high gloss sealers that you can use. Please provide more info and pictures
I never use oil products on the marble counters I have. I use a cleaner and sealer that is made for marble.
