How can I make an outdoor menorah display box?
I would like to have an aquarium style menorah that I can keep outside my door, or light inside and know my cat won't knock the candles over. It has to be heat tolerant and it should have a lid that can be raised. Any ideas?

Consider flameless candles. I’ve git some that have a bulb and look like a real candle. They are a bit larger around than normal but it might work to scale on a large piece. Screw in the bulb each night for lighting.
I think you have a great idea with considering an glass aquarium for an outside menorah display. If you can find a used one you could make a cover with wood. You would have to use flameless candles but there are many of those available in places like Hobby Lobby, JoAnn Fabric and such. Now that Christmas is over, you will find those flameless candles on sale/clearance to incorporate anyway you'd like for your menorah display.

Hi Arlette, this is Peggy. Could you use battery operated candles and then you would not have to worry about fire hazard.
I really like the aquarium idea. Mostly, I just want to know if an aquarium would do the trick. It would need a lid of some kind.
Yes, buy a used aquarium with a lid, as they come with metal lids that are meant to hold lightbulbs. So you would want to remove the plastic light bulb holder/wiring and you should be good to go.
