Hi Angie. I recommend a color from Sherwin-Williams called Mushroom. At our last house we painted it Mushroom and it looked very nice. We had burgundy carpet too. If you intend to paint some trim, I would go with a crisp clean white. Good luck Angie and Happy Holidays.
